MBA are proud to partner one of the UK’s most innovative technology organisations in their search for an experienced Pre-sales Solutions Engineer (Cloud) on a permanent basis. The option is available to be based full time remotely (working from home) alternatively from the Manchester or London office. Pre-sales Solutions Engineer (Cloud) – Key Responsibilities You'll be responsible for Digital Pre-sales Engagements and will: Work with the Account Managers / Sales Specialists during customer facing engagements to develop: Proposals Presentations Demonstrations Business Cases Proof of Concepts Deliver specific engagements directly with customers across the following areas: Envisioning Workshops Business Value Assessments Solution Assessments Customer facing technical workshops Transformation Road Map Development and Prioritisation Support and develop junior presales specialists to both increase the team’s operating capacity and ensure best use of time: Offloading repeatable / low-complexity tasks Supporting and developing team members on lower value / complexity opportunities Work with the Head of Presales / Technical Director to help develop & deliver: New Solution and Go-to-market offerings aligned to the engagement model Offerings that align and build on Microsoft’s current and future engagement models (i.e. Catalyst) Solution Accelerators and Productised Offerings aligned to specific use cases and verticals Develop content for Marketing and deliver training into Sales Teams Pre-sales Solutions Engineer (Cloud) – Skills / Person What will make you stand out is ambition, a desire to develop into a sales-orientated and strategic role, and having the tenacity and capability to think quickly, pitch on your feet and present your ideas in a confident and practical manner. Knowledge in Microsoft Azure and AWS technologies is a requirement for the position. That experience will have ideally been developed as a consultant / engineer and/or supporting an end-to-end infrastructure and datacentre stack for an organisation or for a Cloud Services Provider in either an engineering or consulting capacity. Being presentable is a given Having a desire to win will make a difference Technologies / Skillset Must have: Knowledge of the software development lifecycle Good understanding of CI/CD – Azure DevOps, with any additional being an advantage Good understanding of Event driven architecture Strong knowledge of integrations across multiple applications Strong knowledge and expertise across the Azure and AWS architecture stack Strong knowledge and expertise in Cloud Data Warehouses is a must Must be comfortable with data warehousing methodologies such as Batch Advantageous: Microsoft BI stack including SQL Server, SSIS, Power BI Knowledge of using SQL & NoSQL databases Good understanding of Containers – Docker, Kubernetes (AKS, EKS) Knowledge of application development Strong knowledge of APIs & microservice architectures and components Pre-sales Solutions Engineer (Cloud) - Perks Company pension scheme Flexible working / holidays Training and development opportunities Car Allowance £6,000 Commission plan Salary: £40,000 / £60,000 For an informal discussion please contact (url removed) Mobile - (phone number removed)
