Job DescriptionBank Project Worker Nickleby Road, Chelmsford £10.26 per hour (rising to £10.58 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance) Hours as and when required - including nights and weekends Do you need flexibility in the days you work? We are seeking an experienced Bank Project Worker to make a real difference to the lives of our residents. Nickleby Road and Berwick Avenue provide support for adults with learning disabilities, through short-term accommodation and support to help build independent living skills. This is a rewarding role and a fantastic opportunity to join our small, well-established team. Read more about Nickleby Road here The role of Bank Project Worker will include: * Regularly assessing the needs of residents by writing and updating support plans, and signposting access to education, training and employment * Supporting residents in their day to day living i.e. with cooking and cleaning * Offering advice in relation to fulfilling tenancy conditions * Assisting residents with managing finances and welfare benefits * Encouraging social inclusion and helping residents to build their confidence, resilience and self-esteem * Working with statutory and non-statutory agencies on behalf of the residents and actively encouraging choice and involvement, or acting as an advocate when required * Completing health and safety checks within the service * Safeguarding residents and advising them how to keep themselves safe, and who to report to in times of concern Skills and experiences: * Our ideal candidate has an NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care, and has experience working with clients with learning disabilities * You will be a team player but also have the initiative and ability to work on your own * You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to build strong working relationships * An understanding of occupancy agreements is desirable * Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel or similar Why work for Sanctuary Supported Living?
