Description:Job DescriptionProject Worker High Worple, London, HA2 £10.75 per hour (rising to £11.08 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance) 35 hours per week - shifts covering Monday to Sunday We are seeking an experienced Project Worker to make a real difference to the lives of our residents. Situated just down the road from Roxbourne Park in Harrow, High Worple has five unfurnished, single-occupancy bedrooms in a shared house and provides residential care and support for five adults aged 18-65 who have a range of learning disabilities. Read more about High Worple here The role of Project Worker will include: * Regular key working and support planning to ensure relevant support is provided to enable our residents to maximise their own potential and level of independence * Assessing residents' needs, writing and updating support plans * Supporting residents with their cultural/religious requirements and preparing ethnically appropriate meals * Working with statutory and non-statutory agencies on behalf of the residents, actively encouraging choice and involvement, or acting as an advocate when required * Sleep ins as required * Providing personal care to residents, general cleaning and cooking are required Skills and experiences: * Applicants need to be multi-lingual, verbally proficient in English as well as one of the main Asian languages; Gujarati or Hindi * Experience of working with people who have learning disabilities * Experience with managing care and support plans * The ability to work on your own initiative as you will be required to source innovative solutions to problems that allow residents independence to be enhanced * Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel or similar Why work for Sanctuary Supported Living?
