As a Procurement Manager you will report directly to the Head of Construction & Facilities Management, you will be responsible for the overall strategy and delivery of key, large spend procurement areas of the Moto business which include goods not for resale, construction and facilities management.

Whilst managing an internal team, the procurement manager will be responsible for managing key external relationships as well as developing those with new partners to deliver best possible sustainable pricing structures without jeopardising quality & service delivery across existing areas and the estate. Through close collaboration with and in line with the Line Manager & functional partner’s expectations, you will add to and continue the savings seen in recent years as well continuously reviewing the broader market to develop and agree the strategy with agreement of the line Manager and business.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of Construction & Facilities budgets, including involvement in their composition.
  • Lead and manage relationships with all procurement dept partners and identify opportunities for savings or process change throughout Moto estate.
  • Responsible for tender process including Construction, Facilities Management, goods not for resale which includes, waste, contract cleaning, food service distribution, chemicals, gas supply and others.
  • Maximise leverage from market opportunities, working with data, to interpret and develop plans using a broad perspective to improve profitability.
  • Analysis of performance areas to make informed decisions.
  • Working in close co-operation with colleagues including the Legal Department, to ensure that binding contracts are in place for all of the above.
  • Communicate performance and sector developments with the Line Manager & business partners utilising influencing skills to achieve results.
  • Special projects, as and when required

    • What we’re seeking:

  • Preferably graduate calibre, with a proven track record within the procurement at senior management level, gained in a dynamic, fast-paced environment of similar scale and complexity e.g. Rail, Airports, Retail or FMCG.
  • Preferably have a qualification in Procurement - MSIPS, SIPS or IoSCM
  • Full understanding of GNFR area, and Facility & Construction Management procurement processes
  • Experience and familiarity with competitive negotiation to deliver best value to Moto, including subsequent supplier, contractor & consultant management.
  • Strategic and commercial mind set, with proven people management and development skills.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong professional relationships and credibility at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to lead and influence resources in a matrix environment.
