As a State Registered Biomedical Scientist, the post holder will be a member of the departmental team and assist in the delivery of a quality driven, cost effective, patient focused service consistent with the Nottingham University Hospitals Trust’s objectives. To provide that service in a manner commensurate with the professionAs a Specialist Biomedical Scientist, the post holders’ main role is to carry out the examination of samples using various technologies which may be of a specialist nature and to report or present the results as appropriate. It expected that the post holder would have a considerable degree of autonomy and would be able to work unsupervised for significant periods.The post holder will be expected to assist the section manager in the daily operation of the assigned section including the supervision more junior State Registered BMS and support staffThe post holder will be required to work at either NCH or QMC.
