You will play a major part their future planning and programs while having a wealth of further progression opportunities for your career as you become an expert in your field.Your Responsibilities:Ensure that Functional Safety activities are performed according to the established company standards and in compliance with ISO 26262, through effective management of the Functional Safety TeamEnsure that the Independent Safety Assessment (ISA) activities are carried out for all the McLaren programmes, minimising the number of findingsSupport the definition of technology roadmaps from the Functional Safety point of view, including the provision of the necessary resources to implement the strategiesBe the subject-matter expert of Functional Safety for technical discussions internally and with suppliers and assessorsSupervise the development of the in-house Functional Safety softwareEnsure that internal processes and standards evolve in accordance with the industry state-of-the-artContinuously look for new opportunities to increase the internal quality in the Functional Safety activities, over the short, medium and long term What are they looking for?In-depth knowledge of the definitions, requirements and recommendations of ISO 26262Experience in applying ISO 26262 to multiple system domains (Powertrain, Chassis, Body, User Experience, Passive Safety, etc.)Awareness of the state-of-the-art automotive hardware and software solutions and best practices relevant to Functional SafetyKnowledge of software development processes and architectures for high safety-critical systemsKnowledge of the industry E/ E architectures, including the AUTOSAR standard and software integration paradigmsAbility to assess project risks and take critical decisions with pragmatismPreferred experience in the supercars sector Qualifications: Electrical, software or automotive engineering degree 2:1, or aboveDue to the high volume of applications we receive we are not able to get back to everyone who applies.
