The role will be based from our purpose built offices in Salford Quays where we operate a range of phone-based clinical services giving our customers access to specialist support services for both their physical and mental health. These include: access to Bupa-approved consultants, breakthrough treatment and drugs, our 24/7 Anytime HealthLine, Physioline, and also a dedicated Employee Assistance line for our employees.What you’ll be doingAs a telephone-based Mental Wellbeing Practitioner, you will act in a triage service capacity where you will conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, make treatment recommendations and provide low level interventions for Bupa insurance members. You will also be responsible for the online review and support of our computerised CBT programme. This role will particularly suit someone with experience as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner / Assistant Psychologist / Research Psychologist / CBT Therapist looking for something new.The role will involve working independently and as part of a clinical team whilst liaising daily with internal and external services/organisations. You will have continuous support from a Clinical Psychologist Lead and regular in-house clinical supervision but we need you to be confident in your competencies and have experience working with a diverse range of patient groups.Typical duties will include:Performing telephone-based clinically robust and comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment, formulation and treatment planning for clients and members who access the serviceParticipating in multi-disciplinary decision-making regarding clients or members with psychological and/or psychiatric needsHaving knowledge and awareness of current relevant legislation and own responsibilities for professional practice in relation to risk issues including the Mental Capacity Act, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and Children and to complete relevant mandatory training and updatesWho we’re looking forEssential:Masters degree level qualification in Psychology or CBTExperience (voluntary or paid) of being Low Intensity Worker/Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner or Primary Mental Health Worker or High Intensity Worker/CBT therapistStrong professional and personal drive, enthusiasm and self-motivatedAbility to respond rapidly and decisivelyExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsIT proficiencyDesirable:Membership of BABCP/UKCP/BPS/HCPC or another recognised professional bodySubstantial post qualification experience in assessment and formulation in a rich and varied environmentSome evidence of safeguarding experience – although you will be trained to Level 3 safeguardingExperience of working clinically over the telephone with ideally, previous experience of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, specifically delivered onlineWhy Bupa?We are a health insurer and provider.
