Working within the national Cancer and Diagnostics Programme Team for Health Education England, the post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination and development of the workstream to reform education and training of endoscopists, as well as supporting other projects across this priority area.The post holder will develop project plans and reports for the workstream to highlight plans, achievements, progress or issues in relation to the clinical endoscopist training programme and the wider endoscopy workforce, utilising a range of complex information sources developed locally or sourced nationally.The post holder will enable effective relationship management with a wide range of stakeholders including education providers and other NHS organisations.With excellent analytical and judgement skills, the post holder will interpret information and make recommendations to inform decisions directly impacting both the operational delivery of the clinical endoscopist programme and longer-term strategy.You will need to be a team player, used to working with colleagues at all levels across the organisation, be innovative and solution focused.Due to Covid-19 restrictions we are currently home working. The successful candidate may be based in our Leeds office or another HEE office across the Country with occasional national travel.This post is offered as a secondment opportunity and fixed term contract is not permitted. Applicants from within the NHS will be offered on a secondment basis only, agreement should be obtained from their employer prior to submitting the application.Applicants will commence at the bottom of Band 6 with a full-time starting salary of £31,365, with pay step increases as after 2 years’ service and 5 years' service. These salaries are offered in accordance with NHS Terms and Conditions and the HEE Pay Progression Policy and are subject to annual cost of living review.For posts based in Inner London, the above salaries will include the additional supplement of 20% of basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £4,473 per annum and a maximum payment of £6,890 per annum.
