Description:Unqualified Cover TeacherCover Teachers required for Wirral based schoolsHays Education are currently looking for a large group of bank staff to work in our local partnership schools across Wirral Cover Teachers. Cover supervisors are suitably-trained school staff who supervise pupils carrying out pre-prepared exercises when teaching staff are on short-term absence. The cover supervisor’s main job is to manage a classroom, ensuring that students remain on task with the work they have been set.The main duties of a Cover Supervisor include: Supervising and delivering work that has been previously set Managing the behavior of pupils while they are undertaking this work Responding to any questions from pupils Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the school’s policies and procedures Collecting any completed work after the lesson and returning it to the appropriate teacher Reporting back as appropriate using the school’s agreed referral procedures on the behaviour of pupils during the class, and any issues arising This isn’t “one size fit all” role and we are open to speaking to people from all backgrounds and experience. We are looking for people with a proven and referenceable background in the below: - Strong behaviour management skills - Excellent Communication Skills- Experience of Leadership- Minimum A-Level or Equivalent Qualifications- Proactive in your approach- Ability to project yourself You may come from an ex forces, police or training background and have a keen interest in working with young people. You may even be thinking of undertaking a PGCE in the next few years or have a background in coaching or a graduate with experience working with young people. This will be judged on an individual basis with the above criteria being imperative.
