Reporting into the Head of Engagement and Inclusion, the Internal Communications Manager sits within a small but perfectly formed team of three which means this is a very hands-on role. The vision of internal communications is to act as the voice of the Group, building engagement to help colleagues feel part of Moneysupermarket Group by helping to foster a culture of trust and transparency. What will you be doing? This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone to come in and own the internal communications strategy here at MSMG. Over the last year we have been working remotely so our colleague communications have been digital. As we move to a hybrid way of working, with some colleagues at home and others in the office, we have an exciting challenge on our hands to develop a new approach to internal communications. Other projects we have on our agenda for 2021 are delivering a smooth migration of our new modern colleague intranet, which is moving to SharePoint and simplifying and streamlining our internal comms channels for the future. Your challenge will be to employ fresh, creative, visual and innovative ideas to drive colleague curiosity and engage them with our Group strategy and culture. Internal communications also support our leaders in communicating business decisions in an engaging way by providing communications advice and plans for key projects and making sure that Group messages reach the right colleagues, at the right time across our distinct brands and locations. Our internal communications strategy is constantly evolving and adapting to suit the needs of our colleagues, and we respond to feedback and evolve content, tone, style and platforms accordingly and with agility so you will need to be comfortable with an ever-changing workload. About you: We’re looking for someone who can think strategically and tactically, work quickly and effectively, have solid organisational skills and the ability to juggle priorities. You’ll also have a strong background in internal communications and a deep understanding and passion for innovative and creative internal communications and channels. Constantly developing and enhancing our internal communications and engagement offering means we need someone with a growth mindset who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is not fazed by new challenges and enjoys being kept on their toes. The role covers a mix of strategic and cultural communications and excellent copywriting, a great eye for detail and the ability to tell a compelling story, tailoring and segmenting messages according to audience is needed. Strong stakeholder management skills are essential alongside an ability to confidently engage and influence senior leaders. We need someone who is confident using Microsoft 365 platforms such as Stream, Teams and SharePoint, has good video and photo editing skills. Experience using communications platforms such as Poppulo and experience in event management would be a bonus. We have behaviours that we value, believe in and expect of each other.
