Description:This is an exciting opportunity to join our client as a SEN Teaching Assistant based in the area of Walton-on-Thames .Start date: ASAPHours: Full Time Mon to Fri salary: £14.72 PH PAYE - negotiable6 Months +Essential - SEN Experience neededDBSTo plan, prepare and deliver teaching and learning activities (guided by a teacher) with individual pupils and groups in pupil's homes and the local community and assess, record and report on pupils' progress in any setting, including work experience placements. This post is based in NE Surrey - office based. The majority of the time will be spent supporting the education of pupils in their homes or in other designated areas across North East Surrey. Pupils are referred to Access to Education throughout the year, so the role will involve working with a constantly changing cohort of young people. A number of pupils may have medical needs that prevent them from attending school. This is normally a peripatetic post with significant travel around the North East of Surrey. There will also be a significant amount of lone working. Our current working model is based in a youth centre setting and via a virtual learning environment due to Covid restrictions.
