As a Regional Head of Transportation, you will be responsible for leading strategic, cross-functional Transportation programs. In this role, you'll oversee projects large and small to ensure Transportation strategies and initiatives are delivered on time. An organizational powerhouse, you're no stranger to helping set strategy and know just what it takes to keep things running on time and within budget. Our ideal candidate is a data-driven individual who's confident leading regional transportation programs. What you will do Interact with all business stakeholders in identifying business needs, building relationships and using your influence skills to land cross-functional projects for the Transportation teams.Seek out and evaluate transportation programs and solutions within the region to meet customer needs.supplier vetting and selection, carrier standard operating procedure (SOP) creation and validation.Manage Cost per Trade improvement projects that will enable lowering the cost structure and improving service to our customers within the region.Strong knowledge of the transportation industry especially in the region.Strong negotiation and carrier relations background.Conduct analyses and evaluate proposed solutions.Ability to develop and manage carrier performance through a metrics based approachReport regularly on progress of transportation programs in flight and coordinate with PMO on project tollgates.Manage change and communications.Assist in designing and maintaining department budgets.Support for special projects, new business opportunities and process improvements involving transportation solutions.Other duties as assigned by your leader About you Minimum of 5 years of relevant transportation management and leadership experienceUniversity degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, Business, or related field a plusDemonstrated analytical, organizational, problem solving and creative thinking skillsAbility to prioritize workload in a fast paced, frequently changing environmentEcommerce and small parcel transportation experience
