Job Overview About The RoleWe are looking for an experienced credit controller to join our fast-paced growing Sales Ledger department.Applicants must have experience within a sales ledger team and ideally related qualifications. We are looking for someone with a drive to reduce debtor days, maintain accounts within their credit terms, and a high level of due diligence experience for review of new credit applications.The focus of this role will be on credit management, review of debtors ledger and aged debtor reporting and driving aging downwards across all areas of the ledger.The role will involve an ongoing review of customers against their credit limits and management of customers to ensure credit limits are not breached.New customer set up will involve due diligence reviews, forecasting and suitability for set ups.Must have a high level of attention to detail, with strong excel skills and ability to reconcile a large number of accounts.Candidate must be a quick thinker, organised and confident to question what they see.In total the sales ledger team is 11 people strong.Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing Due diligence when on boarding new customersContinued review of customers against credit limitsProduction of management information (aged debtors reporting)KPI reportingLiaise with internal and external bodies to resolve queriesIssuing monthly statements to business customerResolving queries on accounts and updating recordsManagement of client debt balances and chasing outstanding accountsAccount and statement reconciliationsMonitor payments received and balances dueMaintain sales ledger records in and off systemGeneral administration and ad hoc duties as required A Few Things About You Experience in financial accounting software, such as Microsoft Dynamics (AX) is preferred but not essentialStrong Excel skillsStrong Microsoft office skillsBe able to prioritise workloadWillingness to learn and proactively seek resolutionsA good team player as well as having the ability to work independentlyAble to work under pressureBe able to work to daily/weekly/ monthly deadlines displaying speed and accuracyWell organised and efficientStrong attention to detailExcellent communications skills (written and verbal)GCSE English and Maths at Grade B or above A Bit About UsAt AO, we want to make sure our customers are happy.
