Specialty Registrar CardiologySomerset NHS Foundation Trust are inviting applications for a Specialty Registrar (ST1/2 or ST3+) to join our Cardiology Team at Musgrove Park Hospital. This post will commence as soon as possible and will run until August 2020, this is to provide cover for maternity leave.You will join a dynamic department or 11 Cardiology consultants, providing excellent educational opportunities. You will be an integral part of the Cardiology department working on our base ward (Coronary care unit and Fielding Ward) and helping with Cardiology referrals. There will be an opportunity to attend outpatient clinics, and to be involved in procedures including angiography, pacing, cardioversion, echo and cross sectional imaging.The department is also active in producing research/ audit / QI projects and there will be the opportunity to contribute to these projects. Finally, there is also the opportunity to participate in the trainee on call rota if you would like to do out of hours work.Requirements: MBBS (UK) or equivalentCompleted Foundation TrainingInterest in Cariology Musgrove Park Hospital is a 750 bed hospital, which is the largest in Somerset and serves a population of 350,000 with an excellent reputation for providing a comprehensive range of medical, surgical and specialist services.Taunton is an attractive market town within easy reach of Bristol and Exeter.
