This firm are investing significantly in their Tax Advisory Team, thus seeking to make the appointment of a Tax Director in their Glasgow office. Please know, given present circumstances this firm has the majority of its employees working remotely and interviews are likely to be completed via video call software.Your new roleAs the successful applicant, you will manage and grow a local Tax Team in Glasgow whilst being part of a wider UK Tax Function made up of approximately 10 advisory specialists. You will ensure the accurate and efficient delivery of Corporate Tax planning work on behalf of a variety of clients, such as SMEs to larger corporates inclusive of exciting local entrepreneurial businesses. This will include preparing and reviewing bespoke advisory reports, presenting them to clients in line with agreed cost and time scales. You will thus oversee WIP, budgets, costing and billing, ensuring regular communication with all clients and internal stakeholders. You will also develop additional tax consulting work, identifying opportunities with existing clients as well as cultivating new clients by utilising and expanding your network. What you'll need to succeedYou will have a proven track record within Corporate Tax at the level of Senior Manager or Director with ambitions to become Partner. You will exhibit success of developing business with current or new clients and/or the characteristics to fulfil this task. You will be motivated and articulate with excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating experience of people and project management. Ideally, this will be complemented by a relevant qualification, for instance ICAS/ACCA/CTA.
