The Cardiff site is Pharmaron's global centre of excellence for the custom chemical synthesis of drug and complex chemical substances radiolabelled with tritium or carbon-14, offering radiolabelled custom synthesis service to clients in the pharmaceutical, agrochemical and industrial sectors. The position we are seeking to fill is an exciting opportunity for a Radiosynthesis Chemist to join our Carbon 14 synthesis group. Perform in-process analytical testing. Develop and redesign synthetic routes. Liaise and build strong working relationships with clients and other stakeholders. Contribute to future cost estimate generation. Where appropriate, project management and support/mentor colleagues. Qualification Requirements: PhD or MSc in (Synthetic) Organic Chemistry or Chemistry Industrial experience is essential Experience of a range of techniques including; small-scale synthesis, preparative HPLC, flash chromatography, crystallisation and a range of analytical techniques Experience and track record as a practising synthetic chemist Experience of chromatographic techniques Good written and verbal communication skills Computer literate Ability to work with minimum supervision and as part of a team Conscientious and meticulous in laboratory work Good time management skills and ability to work to tight deadlines Proven ability to problem solve Willing to get involved with new ideas and initiatives Eligible to live and work in the UK Why Should You Apply?
