Ensures that the quality system enables processes yielding a high level of quality meeting or exceeding customer requirements. The Quality Engineer will create and update quality processes and procedures supporting the QMS. Will create and implement a system to measure and monitor performance and report findings. The Quality Engineer will lead quality improvement projects based on external and internal data using statistical and Lean methodologies and tools. The Quality Engineer supports the Sales organization in reviewing and approving new and existing customer specifications and requirements during new product, and /or account onboarding.
Coordinates and conducts product, process, and quality system audits to ensure the quality system meets internal, customer, and regulatory requirements.
Responsible for reviewing customer specifications and determining processes and tools needed to meet those requirements.
Interpret Engineering Drawing (Third Angle Isometric Projects, GD&T) to provide direction to Sales, and Operations on costing and inspections methods/tools.
Documents and lead resolution of customer quality issues using formal problem-solving tools such as 8D, or 6- sigma methods.
