SEND Teaching Assistant - BehaviouralBehavioural Specialist, DerbyAre you an Education Specialist who has experience in working with children with challenging behaviour?Your new SchoolHays Education are working in partnership with an alternative provision in Derbyshire who are looking to appoint a Behaviour Mentor. The school accommodates for pupils aged 11 - 16 who are facing difficulties within Mainstream Education. Your new role As a Behaviour Mentor, you will provide 1:1 behaviour intervention and support across the school. You will encourage access to learning for pupils, assist staff in the management of pupils, resources and within the classroom environment. The support you will provide may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area. You will establish relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs. You will operate and follow school policies and procedures. What you'll need to succeed For this role, you will have recent experience of working in a school setting and ideally have supported pupils with Special Educational Needs especially behavioural support. You will have an interest in working with challenging, vulnerable or at risk young people and be passionate about making a difference. You will be confident to lead a class and provide specialist intervention / behaviour support.
