Description:Trainee Respiratory Practitioner Band 61 year fixed term contract 371⁄2 hoursDarent Valley Hospital is an acute general hospital serving patients from the expanding communities of West Kent. We have an excellent reputation for continuously improving performance, state of the art technology and high calibre staff.We are looking to appoint a self-motivated, enthusiastic band 6 respiratory nurse or physiotherapist to work as part of a dynamic respiratory nurse team who are dedicated to delivering exceptional care to respiratory patients.Applicants need to be enthusiastic, motivated and be able to motivate others. They will have excellent communication with patients, families and professionals and be committed to excellence in the work place. The service aims to ensure that people with chronic and acute lung disease receive high quality, safe care.The successful candidate will need to have experience of caring for respiratory patients either in the acute or community settings. We would be pleased to accept applications from both nurses and physiotherapists. A knowledge and experience of non-invasive ventilation is desirable although support will be provided to develop skills and expertise in this area. It is essential that the successful candidate can work autonomously while also working collaboratively as part of a team.We are committed to continuous learning to improve patient outcomes so this means that we are also committed to the professional development of our workforce. As part of this role you will have an involvement in planning and delivering training to staff throughout the trust and in the greater community.As a member of the respiratory team you will be supported by our experienced senior respiratory nurses and work as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team alongside our respiratory consultants.
