Description:Overview Senior Medical Manager Oncology Location: West LondonSalary: Highly Competitive SalaryBenefits: Car allowance, bonus, pension, healthcareReference: JO-2003-448184Hours: Full timeOur global pharmaceutical client is seeking an experienced Medical Manager to provide internal and external medical support by being an expert on product, patient treatment trends and scientific activities within the disease area, ensuring compliance with SOPs as well as legal and ethical standards.They will be seeking a Physician with Medical Affairs Leadership experience at UK and European level to ensure UK representation in European development plans and lifecycle management plans.Participate and be an active member in the UK Medical and Brand teams in order to provide medical input into Brand Strategy.Ensure local strategies are aligned with European strategiesEnsure alignment with UK Marketing and Regulatory before communicating to European team.Be an active member of the European medical team, thus ensuring that UK needs are represented at a European and Global level.Ensure appropriate participation in European/global studies.Identify and follow up PMTs, manage IITs, co-ordinating budget and communication to the European medical team.Manage and co-ordinate medical brand budgets liaising with finance as required.Provide scientific support to marketing and regulatory plans based on analysis of medical literature and other information.Collaborate with other medical functions to ensure aligned strategy.Maintain direct contact with external experts to gather insights and input on treatments/DA and develop strong peer to peer scientific partnerships with them in order to assess unmet needs.Provide medical input for compounds in development.Essential:GMC Registered Physician or registered pharmacist with a higher degreeAt least one year experience as an ABPI final signatory.Experience of working in a medical advisor, clinical research or similar role where there is strong evidence of gaining healthcare professional insight and providing medical input into brand strategy.Ability to quickly and comprehensively learn about new therapy areas and environments.Knowledge of the UK National Healthcare System and the pharmaceutical industry.Knowledge of statistical methods.Proven experience of the ABPI Code of practice and involvement in the copy approval process.Experience of working in cross functional teams.Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with External Experts.Demonstrated ability to write scientific publicationsKnowledge of pricing issues and experience of contribution to HTA dossiers.Complete knowledge of country regulations e.g. MHRA, GPV.Advanced presentation skills.Full driving licence or ability to travel within the UK.Desirable Previous experience of leading and managing teams.Experience in oncology especially solid tumors.Innovative approaches to managing external customers and internal partnersLeading edge approaches to capturing customer insightKnowledge of key markets research terms and modes of analysisKnowledge of clinical trial design and process.
