Working across corporate, commercial litigation, employment and pensions, tax and private wealth the role includes the added dimension of helping the firm's make the most out of its membership of Interlaw, an elite global network of independent law firms in over 150 cities across the world. We help the partners to build relationships across the network and implement new initiatives with the Interlaw leadership team. This role is part of the firm's marketing and business development team of 23 based across London, Birmingham and Dubai. As a senior manager in the team the person taking on this role includes sharing management responsibilities across the team with the director of marketing and other senior managers and managers. The role will require travel to the other UK offices once or twice a month to engage with teams on a national basis as well as to conferences and other events as dictated by the plans and campaigns which evolve with the role. What you'll be doing Draft and implement departmental business and marketing plans Devise and implement campaigns and engaging content to raise profile and help win new business Work closely with the rest of the Marketing team to share ideas, collaborate across sectors and campaigns and identify opportunities across teams Engage lawyers across the business to help them build and maintain relationships and pursue opportunities with existing clients and prospects Manage marketing budgets Oversee marketing events including seminars, hospitality and exhibitions working with anassistant and other members of the team Oversee the production of literature including client newsletters and bulletins Work with the PR Manager to maintain and build profile across the practices Provide support and advice on bids and tenders working closely with the bids team Line management of a marketing assistant and indirect project based management of others in the team. What you'll need Excellent relationship building, team building and collaboration skills Ability to operate autonomously yet also work as part of a team and collaborate A positive and proactive attitude with gravitas and credibility, drive and enthusiasm A creative thinker with the ability to translate industry knowledge into actions and connect ideas Excellent project management skills Flexibility and commitment – to work outside of normal office hours Good oral and written communication skills with a commitment to quality / high attention to detail Ability to prioritise work effectively and meet deadlines under pressure 8-10 years' marketing experience in a law firm, professional service or equivalent environment CIM qualifications or equivalent (highly desirable) As part of our firm recruitment policy our candidates are subject to employment screening background checks.
