This position is based at our Bristol office with a possibility of remote working when not required on site.The C-17 Globemaster is a longrange, heavy-lift strategic transport aircraft that can operate close to a potential area of operations for combat, peacekeeping or humanitarian missions worldwide. C-17 is capable of rapid, strategic delivery of troops and all types of cargo to main operating bases anywhere in the world. The Globemaster’s load-bearing rear ramp and digitally controlled loading systems, combined with the skills of its crews and ground handlers, enable large, complex items of equipment, including Chinook helicopters, military vehicles and other heavy items of specialist kit to be loaded.Operating in both Acquire and Execute phases the successful applicant, working with a high degree of independence, will lead in both new business proposals and contract over & above tasks as well as managing contract execution, providing commercial & business business support & expertise to the C-17 programme team in discharging obligations under existing contracts. The C-17 Programme comprises both UKMoD and other Boeing entities as its customers. This role will also be expected to support development of strategy and business growth in the C-17 programme through proactive participation in business shaping and decision-making.Working closely with Programme Managers, Finance leaders, key stakeholders, colleagues from the US and our customers, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in a number of programmes, be depended upon as the primary C-17 Commercial representative and have exposure to leadership on a regular basis.
