The Governors are looking to appoint a highly skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our supportive staff team in this very successful and popular school. The job will be worked over all days, Monday to Friday and will be covering PPA and Leadership time. The HLTA will be required to teach all curriculum subjects across the whole school, which is from reception to year 6. The successful candidate may be asked to take responsibility for a particular subject. This will be determined between the school and the successful candidate dependant on their specialised subject.
The successful candidate will:
Enjoy working with children
Have experience of teaching and working with primary aged pupils for all subjects across all phases
Have the relevant qualification to perform the tasks of a HLTA
Have excellent literacy and numeracy skills
Have excellent skills in the curriculum
Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Be able to plan and work independently and under their own initiative
Enjoy working as part of a team
Be well organised and have a positive outlook
Support the Christian ethos of the school
Enthusiastic, welcoming and friendly children

The role involves planning and covering PPA for all classes over both Key Stages.
