Description:Business Administration Apprenticeship - Level 3About the role: We have a number of new exciting opportunities to work as a Knowledge Centre Administrator. This role with give you the opportunity to work for a market leading company, whilst gaining valuable skills and experience to ensure you develop to your full potential throughout the apprenticeship.What the apprenticeship will offer: Balfour Beatty offers a comprehensive training programme in Business Administration with the opportunity of completing industry recognised vocational qualifications. You will provide effective, efficient, confidential and comprehensive administrative support to our business. As part of the Apprenticeship scheme you will be supported with gaining an NVQ level 3 in Business Administration.In addition to supporting you through your formal apprentice qualification, you will follow the Balfour Beatty Enhanced Apprentice programme. This is a mix of development events and activities, plus in year 2 you will compete in the Balfour Beatty Brathay Apprentice Challenge, to help us find the Balfour Beatty Apprentice Team of the Year! There is also the opportunity to complete the Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award as part of your apprenticeship.This is a unique opportunity to work whilst you learn and develop key skills that will be valuable throughout your career – an opportunity not to be missed!Following successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will be able to develop your career further within Balfour Beatty.Your responsibilities as Knowledge Centre Administrator are as follows: · Receiving visitors at reception by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing appropriately. Enduring the reception and surrounding areas are kept tidy, presentable and safe at all times.· Maintain office security ensuring all visitors are signed in, inducted and provided with a visitor's badge.· Take deliveries and arrange for collection or delivery to appropriate persons or department· Booking of pool cars, bikes, projectors and office equipment· Undertake office facilities management tasks e.g stocking of the vending machine, calling out an engineers to deal with any office equipment issues· Diary management to include meeting and training room bookings, travel and accommodation· Timely processing of business data · Undertake and be flexible to support any customer service/administration tasks for the office as and when needed· Deal with communications (mostly over the telephone and face to face) with other stakeholders in the business· Organise and service meetings which involve taking and preparing minutes, and undertaking any follow up actions.· Minute taking may be complex, of a confidential nature and at a senior level for internal and external partners· Filing, scanning, typing, faxing and emailing· Use a variety of Microsoft Packages (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint) to compose and update documentsWho we’re looking for:You will have a minimum of 3 GCSE’s 9-4/ A*-C including Maths & English or equivalent coupled with an interest in Business Administration.· You will have a positive, proactive attitude towards your work and professional development· You will have knowledge of MS packages including Outlook, Word and Excel.· You will have a have a friendly, flexible approach to your working day and a willingness to work with and support colleagues· You will have an enthusiastic, engaged attitude and eagerness to learn and develop personally and professionallySalary & benefits: We offer a competitive salary and a flexible benefits package.
