Description:We are looking for a female 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive and talented team at Bristol Brunel Academy. We are a diverse multi-academy trust, looking for professional and ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our students’ learning.This position is on a fixed term basis until 31 August 2021, whilst the student remains at the academy and the continuation of funding. This role is 37 hours per week, Term Time Only + 5 Inset Days. Due to the level of personal care required in this role, the applicant will need to be female to be suitable for this position. What we are looking for: To be successful in the post, we are looking for someone with an ambitious, resilient personality with excellent communication skills, who will work effectively within the Learning Support Team, with teachers and parents. It will involve working with a key identified student with High Needs Funding with medical needs, providing in class support and small group work to improve engagement, attainment, and progress. Your duties will specifically include: Providing high quality 1:1 in-class support and support outside of class including personal care Work closely with external agencies and practitioners assisting them with their delivery of specialist support. Assessing and effectively track progress within these interventions. Working collaboratively with teachers and the SENCo to ensure effective identification, support and progress for all students. Key worker for specific students, building strong links between parents and teachers. Providing and assisting with the student’s personal care. Promoting high standards of behaviour, engagement and progress.
