Job Summary Moog is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join the Test Equipment team based at our Tewkesbury site. This is an involved and varied role where you’ll be developing application specific software solutions for integration into complex Test Equipment Systems, which support qualification and production acceptance testing. This is a fantastic opportunity for your contributions to have a direct impact on Moog’s Aircraft Flight Control Systems and Components. Within this role you will be involved in the full software life cycle, covering design, code, debug and documentation to defined processes, whilst working closely with the rest of the Test Equipment team to maintain, upgrade and develop new software solutions that perform tasks as varied as closed loop control, data acquisition, data analysis, report generation and hardware control across a variety of hardware platforms. Key Skills Must be able to obtain UK Security Clearance. The successful candidate will have previous experience of developing software solutions ideally including; Control of closed loop; servo-hydraulic and electromechanical automated Test Systems. Real time applications. Data acquisition and analysis. PC and embedded platforms. Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) within a relevant Engineering subject area is required. Experience in LabVIEW essential, with skills in Veristand and familiarity with NI hardware desirable. In addition, experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Visual Basic, C# would be advantageous. Ability to integrate and debug software in a lab environment at the machine interface, and to work closely with other engineering disciplines to diagnose and resolve issues. Self-motivated, willing to take ownership and look for ways to execute on time and to budget. Familiarity with version control and issue tracking software such as Subversion and Jira.
