Are you an experienced stock control professional with proven experience in managing stock control divisions as well as supporting stock control teams in a high-volume distribution environment? If so, then this may be the perfect opportunity for you!We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Group Inventory Manager to join our Head Office in Blackburn. You will be responsible for high-value stock levels in excess of 20 million at one time, so we are seeking a dynamic leader to share our ambition to become World Class, therefore it is essential that you have a proven success in a similar senior management role within Stock Control or Inventory Management, with the ability to create and maintain financial and budgetary records to a high standard to maximising working capital. Responsibilities and Duties Make sure that the supplied stocks meet the demandDeal with inventory and shipping data. This includes entering the information in the computer system or company's databasePrevent over ordering and overstockingVerify and check receipts as well as confirming the purchased contents. This includes making sure that all orders have been completed and nothing is left behindRemove the inventory from the delivery shipment trucks or containersManage the purchasing orders for the upcoming services, supplies, and equipmentCreate, manage, and check inventory reports along with the supply balancesMake sure that all supplies and inventory are in a safe numberKeep track of any inventory needs for restockingCreate, develop, and oversee plans for the services, supplies, and equipmentCreate, document, and maintain detailed records of the inventory - all kinds of them, including the outgoing, incoming, and the current suppliesPrepare the supply or inventory for shipping and deliveryMake sure that the correct inventory is being placed or loaded to the correct delivery vehicleTrack and make sure that deliveries are well receivedCreate documents and notes concerning damaged inventoryCreate, manage, and maintain records for pricing, purchases, and other crucial dataDevise ways to optimize inventory control proceduresInspect the levels of business supplies and raw material to identify shortagesAnalyse data to anticipate future needsEvaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationshipsCollaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are metReport to upper management on stock levels, issues etc. Qualifications, Requirements, and Skills Bachelor's degree in management, Business, or other related fields. A master's degree will be an advantageHave previous experience as a Stock Receiver or Stock Controller for at least 2 years. Any familiarity or previous experience in senior position is also acceptableFluent and familiar with computer programs and operations, including MS Office especially Excel, Outlook, and PowerPointKnowledge of Sage X3 is preferred.Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methodsPossess a good communication skill both in written and verbal formsExcellent organizational and planning skillsHave a good leadership and organizational skillHave a positive attitude that can support, inspire, and encourage other
