Head of Projects M&E Maintenance Central London £65,000 plus package PRS are pleased to be working with one of our largest clients in their recruitment of a Head of Projects to work on an M&E Maintenance contract. The Head of Projects’ main focus will be to lead and manage the Projects and New Works capability across a highly regulated property portfolio nationally, with much of the work taking place in London. The main purpose of the Head of Projects role is to manage the commercial, financial and client liaison aspects of the function as well as the overall programme management of a £10m+ portfolio. The role’s duties will also include leading a project management team delivering multiple building service-related projects and programmes within allocated budgets and defined programmes. The Head of Projects will: Be responsible to the Account Managers for the P&L of the project work and to lead and direct project activities in order to maintain and improve the net profitability of the business Proven experience in Project Management with a relevant project management and H&S qualification e.g. (APMP, PMQ, PRINCE 2, MSP, ISOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH) Conversant with all statutory compliance processes and procedures such as CDM 2015, Building Regulations, British Standards, RIBA Stages and those set out within a specification Develop strong, collaborative relationships with client staff and their representatives applying Key Account Management principles in order to foster good working relationships at every level and optimise the commercial position Prepare with the Account Managers an annual business plan and budget for the contracts’ portfolio Ownership of clients’ forward capital plans; ensure these are sufficient and appropriate, fully maintained and delivered according to forecast delivery and set programs Oversight of the delivery of projects according to contractual standards, SLAs, and KPIs, with minimal penalties incurred Carry out regular monthly project reviews of P&L accountability, including progress of projects, quality, H&S, compliance, key milestones and relationships Developing design proposals and specifications alongside the customer, design consultants (where employed separately) and the site Assurance Team Ensure all proposed designs/work activities complies with customer’s procedures and site standards Oversight of whole project process from conception to completion, including inspection of the work by the Customer, Assurance Team and other stakeholders, to ensure satisfactory completion, declaration of IOC, completion of any follow up work, submission of all associated records to the Assurance Team to obtain a certificate of completion Take ownership of major projects and provide support as and when required to project managers, liaising with the Portfolio Head of Projects Preparation of the monthly report for the Account Managers, Portfolio Head of Projects and Clients, listing all relevant site-based activities that occurred during the month including proposals and tenders completed A thorough knowledge of Project Management services within the UK such as Civils; Fit Out; Life Cycle replacement and Energy The successful candidate will ideally have the following: A relevant project management and H&S qualification e.g. (APMP, PMQ, PRINCE 2, MSP, ISOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH) Detailed understanding of all statutory compliance processes and procedures such as CDM 2015, Building Regulations, British Standards, RIBA Stages and those set out within a specification Demonstrable experience in delivering projects in highly regulated environments Previous knowledge and experience of BIM extremely advantageous Ideally educated to foundation degree, and technically qualified in a relevant building services or engineering discipline A driver of people and projects with very strong commercial and financial acumen, with a track record of achievement on complex and demanding contracts and accounts Strategic and direct management of multiple subcontractors Knowledge of health and safety legislation and safe working practices and competent in delivering projects compliant with Construction Design and Management Regulations Demonstrable skills in dealing and working closely with internal and external customers and suppliers on complex and interrelated issues on an ongoing basis Demonstrate competency on project planning and time management; experienced in managing and delivering projects in accordance with NEC3 terms To apply for this role please send through a CV and I will contact you if you are successful
