Join Alba Power in Netherley, Aberdeenshire, as our Inspector to help drive the workshop to the next level.
In this role you will be accountable for:
The Bulk Strip and Detail Strip Inspection of Gas Turbines
The provision of engine bulk strip and detailed defect reports
Carrying out stage inspections during engine build
Controlling the workshop Inspection files and supporting documentation
Acting as the Company Quality Assurance representative in the absence of the Chief Inspector
Working with sub-contractors and suppliers; sourcing materials for repairs and overhauls
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Minimum NC Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent), preferably HNC Mech. Eng
Where formal qualifications are not held, suitable proven experience is essential
Working knowledge of industrial gas turbines and/or power turbines and associated equipment
Ability to understand and communicate illustrated parts catalogues
Ability to understand engineering drawings
Good written and verbal communication (English)
Flexible approach, team player and ability to work independently
Able to work away from home, communicating effectively back to Head Office as required
The role may also require employees to work a reasonable number of additional hours from time to time, per the needs of the Company
Annual leave 29 days + 4 days for 25th & 26th December and 1st & 2nd January

Location: We are a well-established and progressive workshop based in Netherley, Aberdeenshire. You will be joining a team of 70 experienced and knowledgeable engineers, inspecting a variety of gas turbine and power turbine models from our purpose-built facilities.
