An exciting opportunity is available for a registered nurse to join the nurse team within the Dermatology Department based in Ninewells hospital. We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join our multidisciplinary team within a busy Phototherapy Outpatient Department.

The post holder will collaborate with a range of health care staff and other agencies in the provision of an integrated phototherapy service providing specialist clinical expertise, information and support and is responsible for the assessment of care needs, development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for patients receiving phototherapy.

The post holder will contribute to the ongoing development, management and provision of specialist programmes of care (including Home Phototherapy, Psoracomb and Whole body).

The post holder will support the nursing team to teach patients and their relatives to provide self administration of Ultraviolet B (UVB) phototherapy, and to undertake patient/relative assessment and decide suitability for specialist phototherapy.

The applicant must demonstrate experience in managing competing demands within a busy environment whilst safely and effectively coordinating resources.

Applicants should be registered as RN1/RNA or Sub part 2: RN2 of the NMC Register, and demonstrate extensive evidence of previous post–registration experience.
