We’re looking for a Social Media Executive that can hit the ground running and take ownership of our online community as well as supporting the creation of paid social ads.

The Polaris Community is made up of independent fostering and adoption agencies as well as a wide range of children’s services providers. We need a Social Media Executive to manage the organic social media channels within our community and provide excellent customer service to our users. The Social Media Executive will also support the Social Media Manager in the creation and optimization of our paid social adverts to maintain our excellent performance.

Previous experience in a fast paced marketing role, and in the creation of paid social adverts, would be beneficial.

Your core responsibilities will be:

  • Support the growth of new business through a range of marketing methods and approaches.
  • Work with the Social Media Manager and the wider Marketing team, to create an engaging social media strategy
  • Work proactively with regional stakeholders to gather, create and then communicate the positive stories about work across the group.
  • Work proactively with regional stakeholders to gather and create content and information, then communicate positive stories
  • Analyse and evaluate social media campaigns and strategies
  • Report on effectiveness of campaigns
  • Monitor trends in social media
  • Monitor social space for brand and related topics and conversations
  • Understand and report on how social media impacts search traffic

  • You will have:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in social media marketing/management both paid and organic
  • Experience in outreach, sales, grassroots, social media, digital PR, buzz building and sustaining communities, within a B2C environment.
  • Experience using social media analytics tools and the ability to tweak marketing strategies based on findings.
  • Creative skills for contributing new and innovative ideas.
  • Ability to create cutting-edge social media and digital marketing content.
  • Writing, blogging and proofreading ability.
  • Experience with social advertising platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & YouTube would be desirable.

  • This role is based within the marketing team in Bromsgrove. However, whilst COVID-19 restrictions are in place, the role will be remote. Also, whilst the core hours of this role are 9-5 Mon-Fri, a degree of flexibility may be required from time to time to cover any out of hours events.
