    The Role:

    The Finance Change Reporting & Governance Lead will play a key role in driving and taking ownership of a number of key functions within the central PMO team. Providing updates on e2e plans from small to large projects and complex dependency management. Also required to support key governance meetings on the programme e.g. Steering Committee and Design Authority.

    This is a permanent opportunity which will begin working remotely and will then have a blended approach between working from home and either our Stirling or Edinburgh office.

    Key Work Level Accountabilities:

    Manager or Expert:

  • For people managers, accountable for managing and motivating others to ensure quality of delivery to customers and stakeholders
  • For technical specialists, accountable for delivering expert advice or service, using specialist knowledge and subject matter expertise
  • Applies judgement to deliver outcomes, evaluating a range of potential solutions, considering the impact for customers, cost and risk
  • Manages conflicts that may impact delivery
  • Challenges upwards given knowledge of delivery and awareness of complex systems and the broader picture
  • Identifies and anticipates need for changes to continuously improve quality and efficiency of output
  • Manages resources and risks using expert judgment, know-how and experience
  • Key Responsibilities for this role:

  • Develop and maintain appropriate reporting and control framework for the programme/portfolio
  • Provide programme governance and manage reporting on change projects and programmes
  • Develop the project and programme methodology
  • Manage and motivate a team of Project Support Officers
  • Evaluate and monitor collective performance to ensure your team is delivering in support of the strategic priorities of the business
  • Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Detailed knowledge of Planning and tracking milestones
  • Dependency Management
  • Design Authority governance experience would be beneficial
  • Experience of monitoring and reporting in a project environment
  • Experience of delivering in complex, diverse, ambiguous and high value projects / programmes
  • Some experience of resolving conflicts within project environments
  • Expert level knowledge of industry best practice, good network/links with external bodies and individuals in the same field
  • Working knowledge of life and pensions products, markets and competitors
  • Working knowledge of financial services regulatory and legislatory frameworks
  • Detailed knowledge of project constraints and complexity
  • Working knowledge of risk management principles and their impacts on projects
  • Working knowledge of project methodologies, processes and techniques
