Your new role
Flexibility to work in the East and West Midlands with some travel required
As a Compliance Lead you will be required to work with our consultants, administrative teams and Directors to ensure we manage our growing business in line with compliance processes. Utilising your compliance experience, you will manage the interaction with staff at all levels, communicating regulatory change, process improvement and business processes. Due to the high-performance culture at Hays, you will be required to manage a fast moving, large scale compliance operation across the Midlands, working with Regional Auditors and liaising with Directors to support our compliance risk management strategy.
Other responsibilities include;
  • Recognise areas of risk and develop and implement remedial action plans as required
  • Deliver training and updates as required
  • Partner with senior management to safeguard operational guidelines
  • Carry out spot checks ensuring each business is reviewed regularly
  • Ensure results are fed through to the Director and MD as required
  • Where appropriate, develop and improve processes with the business adding value as you go
  • Drive continual improvements in the quality of business processes
  • Work with group compliance to meet legal and regulatory obligation
  • Work with Regional Auditors discussing audit action points and following through in a timely fashion with the leadership team
  • Host regular meetings with Directors in relation to compliance matters to discuss value-add management information

You will have excellent interpersonal skills to enable you to deal credibly with your client base an no day will be the same. You will be comfortable setting your own agenda and together with the support of management, you will prioritise key tasks that require your attention and support.
