Ownership and subject matter expert in:

  • Finance interface with GLISE on Technical Reporting for Digital Partners (DP) and all matters arising. Includes UW data quality assurance process for GLISE, including knowledge of data sources, structures and systems. Develop and build key relationships within GLISE.
  • Responsibility for production and ongoing development of all internal reporting for DP to Boards and Management.
  • Working with the Financial Reporting team and DP to aid and support intercompany reconciliation process.
  • Developing and review Budgets, Forecasts and Plans for local and Group Purposes. Support transition of planning process to Financial Planning Tool.
  • Facilitating the smooth on-boarding of new Partners, implementation of new products by existing Partners and ongoing Partner meetings and monitoring through providing relevant Finance support in conjunction with other functional teams in Digital Partners.
  • Critically appraising all Finance processes and assumptions on an ongoing basis with a ‘continual improvement outlook’ and proactively engage with relevant stakeholders to improve where opportunity exists.
  • Assisting in other areas of the team where appropriate and deliver any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned including project work and deep dive reviews to the standards and outcomes agreed with line manager.
  • Helping to drive forward good Conduct for the business to deliver the best outcomes for customers / policyholders
  • Your profile

  • A strong academic record
  • Accountancy qualification ACCA, CIMA, ACA
  • Business/Commercial acumen and ability to understand technical insurance result
  • Analytical skills to make sense out of large sets of data and identify critical KPI's
  • Challenging, influencing and negotiating skills to deal with a variety of functions and profiles within the organisation
  • Highly developed budgeting, forecasting and business analysis skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing initiatives at a time
  • Comfortable proposing, justifying, initiating and implementing change
  • Communication skills to provide rounded opinions and clear recommendations
  • Integrity and judgement
  • Hands on and proactive attitude to pursue tasks where value for the business can be added
  • Working understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP
