We are seeking to recruit a Manufacturing Supervisor to join one of Northern Ireland most successful local businesses who now operate on global scale. Our client is a specialist pharmaceutical producer who are recognised as one of the leading companies in their industry and an innovative manufacturer. Based from their multi-site headquarters in County Down you will work across a varied shift pattern.
Your new role
As the companies latest Manufacturing Supervisor you will take responsibility for managing a team in all aspects of manufacturing with the aim to produce products complying with all Quality, Environmental Health and Safety standards. You will be tasked with improving the performance of your team to enhance production outputs while also providing supervision and support. It will be your duty to co-ordinate and plan the teams within the production department across various shift rotations. You will drive your team towards meeting production targets while also ensuring that quality is always maintained. It is vital in this role of Manufacturing Supervisor that you ensure all documentation is signed and countersigned at every stage of the production process. You will brief your team on on-going issues and work to find a fix to maintain output and quality, while also participating in route-cause investigations. You will also promote development within the team and ensure all team members have received appropriate training
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in gaining the Manufacturing Supervisor role you should be coming with a 3rd level qualification in Engineering, Mathematics or Science related subject or alternatively 4 years relevant manufacturing experience. Your previous experience should be relatable to pharmaceutical processes. You will need to demonstrate your ability to manage and motivate a team while also your ability to produce accurate technical reports. A proven track-record of meeting targets and excellent verbal & written communication skills are key.
