Job description

A school in Stockport requires an MFL Teaching Assistant (French and Spanish) to join the teaching team in September 2021. It is expected that the applicant will be competent in the teaching of either French or Spanish (to KS4) as well as the other to KS3 as a minimum. Previous experience tutoring either subject to A-Level is also highly desirable, owing to the potential opportunity of working within the school’s busy Sixth Form.

In order to be considered for this position, the following requirements are essential:

  • QTS.
  • A degree in a Language based subject.
  • A passion for improving students language skills, developing their speaking and written capability.
  • This role will involve often working on a small group or individual basis in order to directly impact student progression.

    Additionally, the applicant will be required to monitor day to day factors such as attendance as well as general behaviour within the classroom. Being able to apply school behaviour policies is of key importance.
