  • This role is within our Direct Infrastructure Investment team, which focuses on equity investments in infrastructure sectors such as energy, environmental, transportation and telecommunication. The new Investment Professional based in London or Munich will have the opportunity to work across the full investment life cycle including the origination and execution of new investments and the ongoing management of existing investments. The Infrastructure Direct Investments Team is a leading team in the infrastructure sector with a collegiate culture and high levels of professionalism. With increasing enthusiasm from both the parent and recently raised third party capital for the asset class, this is a fantastic opportunity to move to an industry leader during a period of growth and positive change.

  • Evaluation, structuring and negotiation of investment opportunities
  • Perform detailed asset valuation, financial analysis and benchmarking
  • Creation and review of detailed financial models
  • Perform buy-side due diligence across commercial, technical, legal and other due diligence areas
  • Liaising with key counterparties including advisers, lenders and corporate representatives
  • Preparation of investment approval documents and participation in investment committee meetings
  • Support existing investments, including monitoring of ongoing financial and operational performance, performing valuations and preparing documentation in advance of board meetings
  • Monitoring the activities and performance of competitor companies
  • Outstanding academics, including a relevant degree
  • Work experience between two to five years at a leading investment bank or financial institution with a proven track record of buy-side transaction experience, preferably in infrastructure M&A
  • Specialist experience in regulated utilities or telecom infrastructure advantageous
  • Strong technical grounding with excellent financial modelling skills and IT Literacy in general (MS Office, Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters EIKON, etc.)
  • Excellent team player with strong ambition to contribute and high attention to detail
  • High personal drive and willingness to take on responsibility early on
  • Additional language skills beneficial
