Future Teachers Programme
Are you a graduate considering a career in teaching? Would you like paid work experience in schools to help you decide if becoming a teacher is right for you? If the answer is yes, our Future Teachers Programme could be a great option.
Teaching Personnel can help support your career in education through our unique Future Teachers Programme. The programme provides graduates with a long term placement within an SEN school, providing a valuable insight into the role of a fully qualified teacher, before going onto your teaching training course or entering onto a schools ITT programme.
The course is split into 3 years:
You will work within one of our client schools as a full time, paid teaching assistant. As a Teaching Assistant you will be supporting the main class teacher with handing out work, supporting students with 1:1 and small group assistance and helping prepare the lesson. This provides an excellent opportunity for graduates looking to build a career in education with flexible, classroom experience.
In the second year you will complete your teaching training. This will include teaching classes across the whole school wherever cover is required, shadowing Fully Qualified Teachers and providing dedicated intervention support.
In the third and final year you will complete your NQT year within the school, teaching your chosen subject and becoming a more independent professional within the school. After this year you will be a fully qualified teacher.
The ideal candidate will be educated with a 2:1 or above in a relevant subject, be passionate about building a career in education and have the ability to develop strong relationships with both staff and students.
- You can expect to earn £60 - £65 per day (Year 1)
- Pay in line with MPS/UPS (Year 3 onwards)
- Gain invaluable experience prior to starting a teacher training course/Schools Direct programme in the future
- Complete flexibility with hours
- Free training provided by Teaching Personnel provided by our CPD Academy and Best Practice Network, including Teaching and Pedagogy, Assessment, Behaviour, SEND and Curriculum
