The Role

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience and ability in project management. Your skillset will mean that their clients and existing team will recognise you as an expert in your field, you will be able to both define new projects and will pick up existing projects, running them autonomously to achieve the goals of the project. Involved in client-facing projects. Working in a fast-paced environment, therefore good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team is key.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Take personal responsibility for a small number of specific projects, both client-facing and internally focussed, with the following responsibilities across each project:

  • Planning & managing project schedules to ensure on-time delivery
  • Creation and monitoring of budgets
  • Identifying, allocating and coordinating resources to projects
  • Managing risks and issues, Managing changes to scope/contract / deliverables
  • Directing project support team to ensure necessary project administrative tasks and activities are completed
  • Effectively communicating to & managing key stakeholders
  • Tracking of deliverables & monitoring of progress
  • Reporting on project status, risks, and escalations, both internally and to the client
  • Manage junior members of the existing PMO team (including more junior project managers), acting as role model and working with them to develop skill sets
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and be seen as an integral member of the project delivery team
  • Your Profile

  • Strong project management experience in either a Finance environment, Professional Services or Financial Services - This would be a real plus.
  • Experience of working in customer or client-facing roles
  • An excellent communicator experienced at presenting at a senior level, internally and to clients.
  • Excellent understanding of a variety of project management methodologies, preferably including PRINCE2.
  • Ability to lead a team, coaching and developing junior members.

    Salary & Benefits
