The Agile Project Manager (APM) is responsible for planning, leading, organising, and motivating agile teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering agile initiatives that provide exceptional business value to users. The APM is responsible for managing multiple concurrent high visibility workstreams/initiatives using a mixture of waterfall and agile methods in a fast-paced environment that cross multiple business divisions.
The APM role is expected to operate at different levels:
• At an enterprise level, responsible for managing complex epic/capability/workstream delivery across multiple agile workstreams, requiring integration with other activities outside the scope of the local agile teams.
• At a workstream level, helping to put in place the appropriate people, process, and tools and coaching members of the workstream to optimize the efficiency of the team.
• In situations that require a hybrid Agile approach, using good judgment and skill to apply best practice in a pragmatic way to achieve value delivery and milestones.
The APM will be expected to use knowledge and experience in blending traditional project management principles and practices with an Agile approach in the right proportions, to fit large, complex, enterprise-level initiatives with the appropriate level of planning, to provide the optimal balance of agility and predictability.
-Minimum of 2 years experience of successful project delivery of telecommunications/IT product development in both traditional and Agile delivery frameworks.
-Experience of creating and presenting progress reports to Agile programme managers and senior business managers, with capability of influencing at F/E band level.
-Experience of issue resolution and complex dependency management in a matrix environment with external stakeholders.
-Knowledge of working with scrum, Kanban, Agile DSDM, Scaled Agile frameworks
