Job Introduction:

The Marketing Assistant and Bid Support is an instrumental position within the G4S Risk Management Corporate Development team located in London.

The employee will work as part of the Corporate Development team which is charged with the responsibility for winning and retaining business throughout our markets in the Middle East, Africa and Asia. This full-time position will be split: Marketing – 50%, Administration and Bid Support – 50%.

Marketing –

  • Digital Marketing – updating content on the G4S Risk Management website and managing content using the Content Management System (adding new campaigns, pages, photographs, perspectives and profiles). Challenging our thinking and ways of working using competitor analysis to stay on top of trends in the market. Working closely with the business to ensure all content is released in a timely fashion and all content on the website is kept relevant and up to date.
  • Social Media – supporting the Marketing team with the implementation of the social media strategy, by posting content to our social media accounts. Monitoring social media activity to maintain an awareness of emerging trends. Producing regular reports to track and monitor website and social media performance using Google Analytics and other tools.
  • Design – support the team with graphic design initiatives (mostly infographic and brochure/document design) for internal and external-facing materials.
  • Bid Support –

  • Support bid management, including populating templates
  • Electronic filing of bid documentation and the maintenance of an effective library of graphics
  • Bid support including version management, formatting, proofing and compiling clarification questions
  • Engagement and liaison with business units
  • Developing case studies and bid collateral
  • The employee will report into the Commercial Development Manager.

    Role Responsibility:

    Design client literature across all client segments and solutions, including brochures, generic presentations, factsheets, flyers, training support and investment products reports and presentations, newsletters and publications

    Liaise across the business to maintain stock of literature

    Provide timely marketing support to CRMs and Business Units in their client interactions

    Manage a bid library and co-ordinate version management of key project tools and documents ensuring appropriate records are securely kept for reference

    Maintain library of marketing slides and presentations, keeping it up to date and with relevant approvals

    Be proactive in how to design documents to the highest professional standards and improve and streamline the activity of the marketing team

    Drive client experience by improving quality of client documentation

    The Ideal Candidate:

    Analytical mind, evidenced through degree or equivalent level study

    Excellent IT skills, particularly MS Word, PowerPoint and Google

    Desirable knowledge of MS Visio

    1-3 years’ experience working in a commercial or corporate security environment

    Ability to work with staff at all levels

    Proven ability to work to tight bid timelines and with other people

    Attention to detail
