Jira Consultant – Admin Coach – Edinburgh – Outside IR35

Our Client is looking for a Jira Consultant to support the team with the following:

  • Set the foundation for being a trusted advisor by acting as a dependable collaborator, building trust and modelling positive behaviours with teams and other individuals on Agile teams.
  • Work with senior leaders to define strategies and roadmaps for transitioning to Atlassian Products (Jira, Confluence, and marketplace apps)
  • Influence change across the organization and functional areas by working across all levels of the organization to define and execute strategies for successful Atlassian Product implementation; get hands-on in enabling the incremental delivery of value.
  • Lead the Atlassian implementation activities across one-to-many organizational areas.
  • Lead and facilitate workshops/training sessions to educate leaders and teams on Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence)
  • Mentor and pair with change agents and stakeholders in the organization to help them become Lean-Agile champions and build lasting Agile skills
  • Manage the Atlassian configurations of JIRA, Confluence, and Atlassian market place apps and be the go-to person for any system issues, improvements, and best practice questions
  • As one of the Systems Administrators you will own the relationship with the Atlassian software vendor and be responsible for documenting and updating internal processes and procedures, in relation to these software tools
  • Be a ninja at JQL queries. Perform and own Administration and System tasks for Jira and Confluence (i.e., Customized workflows, templates, customised screens and fields, reports, implement/test recovery issues, create filters and custom dashboards).
  • Create reports and dashboards from JIRA to provide a rich set of data and analytics
  • Skills & Experience Required

  • Ability to co-ordinate, communicate and influence to achieve outcomes within a positive working environment – strong stakeholder management skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of Atlassian Products (JIRA, Confluence) Administration experience
  • You’ve worked as a JIRA Consultant at the Program/Portfolio level
  • You have verifiable experience teaching courses related to Jira and Confluence
  • You excel in pragmatic problem-solving, resolving interpersonal conflicts, and helping people communicate effectively
  • Lean Portfolio Management and agile experience
  • Marketplace apps integration with Atlassian products experience (JIRA Roadmaps, Actionable Agile)
  • JIRA Server to Cloud Migration experience
  • Experience of creating JIRA reports and dashboard
  • Desirable

  • You have experience with other Agile methods and frameworks (e.g., Lean, Kanban, Scrum)
  • JIRA Automation
