Job purpose
Mitie are working in partnership with a high profile client to deliver a range of high quality Public Sector Soft FM services (Logistics and Office based) within the Clyde area. We are currently recruiting for a high calibre, experienced manager to deliver the 8 month mobilisation and transformation programme.
Based in Clyde the role will involve some travel to brief senior management in other locations and to provide occasional support, or senior management cover at other sites. The purpose of the role is to manage and deliver the mobilisation project over a 6 month period, commencing on 1st April 2021, followed by a further period of transformation. The successful applicant will represent Interserve and, as the key interface between all stakeholders, be responsible for aligning resources and assigning work packages to secure the successful mobilisation, to budget and agreed timeline. In addition to developing and implementing operational solutions for a range of soft services, the post holder will work with Human Resources to ensure the successful transfer under protected employment (TUPE) of existing staffs.
Candidates will be required to meet security checks in order to work on the client premises.
This role, which comes with favourable benefits, including a company car or allowance, is fixed term until 1 December 2021, but may lead to a permanent position, dependent upon posts transferring under protected employment.
Responsibilities
Full Project management of the mobilisation and transition phases
Implementation and management of appropriate financial/budgetary controls to manage all activity within agreed limits
Marshall and direct operational resources to support the mobilisation project
Monitor, assess and proactively foreseen risks and issues, and responding effectively to emergent matters
Ensure effective knowledge transfer between mobilisation team and operations team
Support the operations team in delivering the transformation programme post-go-live
Interface with client group
Represent Mitie at meetings
Facilitate governance process
Project management, responsible for accurate and time management of plans, milestones, quality, costs and all other related activities to meet required standards and achieve agreed time
Build and maintain RAID’s logs (Risk, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies) prioritising and building mitigation plans to minimise impact, and escalating business critical issues in a timely manner
Coordinate all client, end user communications, staff and wider business communications
Provide hands on support to task owners to ensure the timely completion of tasks
Actively engage all project stakeholders and maintain close and ongoing relationships with key stakeholder throughout the project
Build and track resource database, clearly identifying all equipment and associated procurement and maintenance costs
Work with the Compliance Manager to develop all appropriate contract documentation (To include: BCP, Location Management Plan, Risk Assessments, Process Maps for each service line, SOPs and other associated business documentation as required.
Undertake lessons learnt session on project closure and factor learning into continuous improvement process
Knowledge skills & experience
Previous experience of managing small scale mobilisation or change management projects, or managing multifaceted soft service sites/contracts
Previous experience of working in a soft services FM market or similar
Experienced in the use and manipulation of MS Office software (Word, EXCEL, PPT)
