Playing a key role supporting the growth of the practice nationally. Develop relationships, originating and executing transactions for life science and healthcare clients and prospects;
Managing and executing Healthcare Corporate Finance transactions. Building trusted partner relationships with clients, investors and key influencers in the business and Healthcare communities;
Key corporate finance expert/strategist with significant interface with SVB regional teams, credit partners and senior leadership;
Leading execution of transactions; internally and externally leading deal process, underwriting and coordinating the deal team. Overall responsibility for managing internal credit process, presenting to Loan Committee, managing investor and company relationships through a deal process;
Negotiation of all loan documentation including Credit Agreements, Intercreditor Agreements, Collateral & Security Documentation and fee letters;
Responsibility for expanding a portfolio of existing client relationships focusing on C-level executives, internal credit management and cross selling of entire banking platform and products;
Working in close collaboration with SVB Leerink regarding transaction referrals and capital markest transactions;
Acting as an ambassador for SVB externally, representing SVB at external events promoting the SVB brand and values;
Management of Vice Presidents and Associates;
Leads or participates in (cross team) collaboration projects around business and product development, strategic planning.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience;
8 years of business development/lending experience in the banking or financial services industry, preferably in the Life Sciences and/or Healthcare sector, with prior experience in healthcare services, healthcare technology, medical devices and/or specialty pharma;
Significant Capital Markets experience, Corporate Finance focus;
Advanced knowledge of bank operations and products. Identifying and cross-selling bank products alongside product advisors;
Strong negotiation, marketing and closing skills;
Expertise in risk assessment, setting expectations and managing deteriorating accounts pro-actively.
