Senior .Net Developer – Agile - SQL- C#- Edinburgh- Perm- £competitive

I am delighted to be writing this advert to let you all know about this exceptional opportunity here at Computershare.

You might be a Developer who has come to a stalemate in your current role and seeking that next challenge. Or you may already be operating as a Senior Developer, but you are looking for future growth and development.

If you are passionate as much about people as you are software development, then we want to hear from you, today!

We work in cross-functional squads as you may expect, of which we have 8. Within your squad you will have the opportunity to further develop and utilise your current experience.

What does growth and progression look like I hear you say? Well, the world really is your oyster.... literally! Here at Computershare you will truly be working on a global scale and with that gives you worldwide opportunity.

We must have captured your interest by now, but if you really want to know more, keep reading....

What will you be doing?

You will work within our cross-functional agile teams and be involved throughout the full development lifecycle from requirements elicitation to the delivery of high-quality solutions.

As a senior member of the team you will be involved in leading, coaching and mentoring developers. You will have a genuine interest in helping others develop which in return will help drive our goals as a business.

You will also lead the way on best practice and be looking to continually make improvements within the team. We are looking for you to be a champion in coding standards, sharing knowledge with peers and coming up with innovative ideas to support improvements in technologies.

We expect you to be on top of market trends, sharing knowledge and best practice not just across your squad but the wider team.

One of our biggest goals is to become a Global Centre of Excellence and not just to be recognised across Computershare globally, but also as Thought Leaders outside of our organisation.

What are we looking for?

You will be an experienced Developer with a demonstrable background working within an Agile/or DevOps environment. An SME in your field, particularly in .Net, C# and SQL languages, committed to the principles of software craftmanship and clean code.

We have already highlighted the importance of development throughout the advert, but you will also have a passion for mentoring and coaching.

You will be collaborative, innovative and solution driven and all the other buzz words you might think of. However, it is true this is what we need.

Other skills and experience required:

  • Experience of application development and support within an enterprise context, ideally with some experience of architectures spanning multiple technologies
  • Knowledge of applying engineering practices for design, build, test and deployment
  • Knowledge of Azure Cloud Services (desirable)
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with peers working across multiple locations
  • What’s in it for you?

Lots! We offer a fantastic benefits package which includes 25 days annual leave, pension scheme, life assurance, discretionary bonus and much more.

We support and encourage our employees to develop and we have an excellent training academy here at Computershare.

You really do get out what you put in.

So, if this is something that sounds exactly what you are looking for then don’t hesitate, apply today!

    Keeping our employees safe

We’re currently performing all interviews, assessments and background checks online to ensure the safety of everyone involved.

Most of our employees are working remotely. For people who need to be in the office we’re following government guidelines on safe working. This includes regular cleaning, maintaining safe distances and limiting the number of people in the office at any one time.

Should you be successful in securing a role and it can be performed from home, we will arrange for equipment to be sent to you and your onboarding and training will be provided remotely.

The welfare of our employees is of paramount importance to us, and we will continue to do everything we can to keep our people safe during this difficult time.
