Norfolk County Council’s Adult Learning service provides learning opportunities across Norfolk to a wide range of adult learners (over 7,000 per year), both in community classrooms, including at our own venues, such as Wensum Lodge in Norwich, and online.
Adult Learning is externally funded and to gain this funding, timely, appropriate and accurate administrative support is a vital element to the success of the service.
We are looking for someone to manage and lead a team to provide effective and efficient administrative support across all aspects of a Further Education provider; including creating and maintaining accurate and compliant records in the service’s database, ensuring the timely and accurate submission of statutory returns to the service’s funding agencies and management of the data and funding aspects of curriculum planning and associated funding methodologies.
You will need to ensure that your team provides timely, appropriate and accurate administrative support so that Adult Learning remains compliant with all of its statutory and contracted requirements.
This role is pivotal in the efficient running of the service and as such the right applicant will be a highly skilled, pro-active and motivated individual. While it is not essential that you have a Further Education background, you will need to demonstrate that you have the appropriate level of experience of managing a team and securing excellent results in a fast-paced administrative environment.
All our office-based roles are currently working from home as part of our Smarter Working plans and to support the health and safety of all our colleagues. We anticipate that working remotely will be a key feature of this role and when offices re-open your office base will be County Hall, Norwich. Our technology platform and equipment are first class, enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely. We ask that you have in place good Broadband connectivity.
