As a Funeral Labourer & Stonemason, you will: Ensure the application of skilled craftsmanship to the production of memorials to satisfy and surpass the client’s needs. •Produce memorials including lettering and basic artwork from stencils (painting & gilding) that enhances the professional reputation of the masonry operation by satisfying or surpass clients’ needs.
•Use the blasting machine to sandblast memorials according to the designs ordered.
•Ensure that the work is completed to a high standard as per the order requirements
•Ensure memorials are completed with the correct grave numbers on the stones ready for fixing.
•Undertake the collection, delivery, fixing and erection of the memorials in cemeteries and churchyards if required.
•Complete regular Quality & Standards checks on memorials at any point during the production process reporting any identified issues to the Memorial Production Supervisor.
•Maintain regular safety checks on equipment and tools reporting any identified defects at the earliest opportunity to the Memorial Production or Logistics Supervisors.
•Maintain required documentation and records in a timely manner
•Undertake the appropriate cleaning and restoration of memorials.
•Assist with receipt of deliveries and the packaging and dispatch of completed orders.
•Act with due diligence when using the Society assets.
•Undertake such activities as required and instructed that support the delivery of the masonry branch business plan.
•Assist in general housekeeping duties within the masonry branch to deliver a safe, clean working environment.
•Achieve Key Performance Indicators via direction from the Masonry Product, Development and Operations Manager.

•Assist in the general housekeeping duties within the workshop to deliver a safe working environment.
