Your new company

You will be joining a company who provide residential care to children aged 8-17 with backgrounds of trauma and abuse. They are currently expanding their provision into the Cleveland and Redcar area and are seeking an experienced registered manager or deputy manager to establish and register a new 3 bedded home in Middlesbrough.
Your new role
The company aims to have the home OFSTED registered and open from September 2021. You will work alongside the directors to complete the registration process and establish a staff team of around 7 staff. You will ensure the home meets all legislation relating to residential childcare and complete assessments and care plans for the children who will live in the home.
Once the home is established, you will oversee and lead the staff team towards the goal of OFSTED outstanding.
What you'll need to succeed
This is a fantastic opportunity for a proven registered manager or a deputy looking for their first management opportunity to shape a new service with the full support of the directors.
Ideally you will:
  • Have 5 years’ experience working with young people in a residential setting
  • Have 1-2 years’ experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy within Residential Childcare
  • Have a full driving licence with access to own transport
  • Have Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
  • Hold Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management or be ready to work towards
