Description:Head of Site Operations Job Type: Temporary Sector: Healthcare Duration: expected to last 3 months initially with possible extension Location: Peterborough Travel: Yes across NW Anglia Remote Working: Some working Home to be confirmed Band: 8C Pay Rates: £32.60-£37.60 paye depending on skill and experience £36.50-£42.10 paye inclusive of Holiday Pay depending on skill and experience £41.50-£47.90 umbrella depending on skill and experience Working days and hours: 37.5 hours a week Summary of responsibilities * Lead the operational day to day flow of patients through emergency and elective pathways, ensuring safety and capacity is utilised appropriately; * Lead on the coordination of activity across operational divisions to make risk-based decisions on approaches to managing day to day capacity and flow and balancing issues and decisions across multiple sites; * Provide visible proactive leadership to the site operations centre, complex discharge team and transport team, acting as the key senior lead for issues, challenges, and escalation; * Responsible for ensuring the efficient day to day running of the site and bed management team, delivering key quality, performance and financial plans, achieving key service improvements within the team and line management of designated staff; * Working in partnership with key operational leads, drive operational performance against agreed Trust and National KPI’s ensuring safe, responsive services; * Act as the Trust representative in system wide approaches to managing capacity and flow including involvement in escalation calls and routine resilience forums; * Lead on corporate activities in support of maintaining capacity and flow across operational divisions, including but not limited to running the organisations winter response; escalation and capacity incident management as required. Experiences, Skills and Qualifications * A recognised management qualification, or able to demonstrate experience to this level * Evidence of continuing professional development * Significant experience within acute / provider sector * Experience of managing front line at a senior management level * Experience of developing and implementing service developments * Experience of collaborative working in organisations and with external stakeholders. * Understanding of national urgent and emergency care strategies, policies and best practice * Understanding of clinical pathway redesign, pathway improvements * Knowledge of constitutional standards and regulatory expectations relevant to the breadth of the role Questions Do you have previous experience working as Band 8C Head of Operations within the NHS?
