You’ll provide effective second line of defence risk oversight, support and challenge to the Bank’s major transformation programmes and other high-risk change activities.� This will also include key strategic change in the areas of outsourcing / offshoring; major organisational changes; high risk regulatory projects; system migrations; and major application and product developments.�
What you’ll be doing
Ensuring change risk oversight is directed on a risk-based approach via the independent review, challenge and approval of the initial risk assessment undertaken by programmes and projects at the Initial business case stage.
Providing ongoing support, advice and independent challenge to the ongoing non-financial risk assessment undertaken by key programmes and projects from business case approval through to execution.
Contributing to a broader independent risk assessment at portfolio level and across assigned major workstreams.
Supporting the risk assessment underpinning project investment prioritisation.
Acting as the second line of defence business partner to the change and first line of defence risk community, thereby ensuring the Bank’s change risk management standards are understood and fully embedded.
Acting as the catalyst to escalate key programme and project risks to ensure timely risk mitigation.
What we’re looking for
Highly developed communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.
Excellent influencing and negotiating skills – achieving consensus solutions while delivering challenging goals. Actively promotes close and harmonious working relationships across the business.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Significant experience of the Financial Services industry, preferably in banking activities, and of the associated UK regulatory environment.
